He had only just begun living the dream he’d chased since childhood, racing under the lights in the gear he once admired. Sadly, that dream was cut heartbreakingly short, leaving behind a silence no engine will ever drown out.
The motocross community is mourning the tragic loss of 16-year-old rising star Aidan Zingg, who died following a crash during a race at Mammoth Mountain Motocross (Mammoth MX).
Zingg reportedly went down in a corner mid-race, not due to a mid-air collision, as initially rumored, and was run over by multiple bikes before the race was red-flagged.
Shockingly, he remained unconscious on the track for two laps before officials could intervene. His sudden death has left the motocross world reeling as friends, fans, and organizations rally around the Zingg family.

Swapmoto further recalled his respectful demeanor even as he rose through the ranks, “Even recently, when he grew into a fast big bike rider… you know; the age when teens get cocky and cool. Not Aidan.”
