The “Wednesday” star’s legacy in Hollywood has officially been cemented — and she had her loved ones right by her side to mark the special moment.
Christina Ricci received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on March 6, 2025, garnering praise from fans and onlookers alike. The ceremony took place in Hollywood, California, where Ricci was joined by her husband, Mark Hampton, and her two children, Freddie and Cleopatra.
Ricci looked elegant in a black knee-length textured dress with gold zipper details on the front. She paired the outfit with black pointed stiletto heels. Her long dark hair was styled straight and worn down.
Standing beside her, Hampton opted for a smart-casual look, wearing a dark blazer over a pale blue button-up shirt. He completed his look with dark jeans and polished black shoes.
Ricci’s son, Freddie, who she shares with her ex-husband, wore a navy cardigan over a dark shirt with black jeans and beige sneakers. Her daughter, Cleopatra, wore a black long-sleeved top paired with loose white pants and black-and-white Vans sneakers.
Online, fans reacted warmly to Ricci’s family photos from the event. On Reddit, one person wrote, “Her daughter is a little clone.” Another commented, “Her son looks a lot like her, too. They are both adorable.” A third one added, “The grumpy little kid is so funny lol.”
People on Instagram also shared their excitement. One reader commented, “Aww her little one looks like her.” Another wrote, “Beautiful family. I didn’t realize her kids where that old, I feel like she was just pregnant [sic].” A third commenter added, “The kids are so cute.”
Some fans also noted the striking resemblance between Ricci and her daughter. One netizen wrote, “Hahaha her daughter is a blonde version of Wednesday – the 👀 😂 [sic].” Another gushed, “Awww Wow! Her daughter is her little mini literally has her whole face [sic].”
Ricci received the 2,803rd star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The ceremony began at 11:30 a.m. PT and took place at 6258 Hollywood Boulevard, directly in front of the W Hollywood Hotel. Ricci was honored in the category of Motion Pictures.
Ana Martinez, producer of the Walk of Fame, praised Ricci’s extensive career and lasting influence on Hollywood, stating, “The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is honored to welcome actress Christina Ricci to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. From her remarkable start as a young talent to her enduring impact on the silver screen, Christina Ricci’s film career has been nothing short of extraordinary, earning her a well-deserved place among Hollywood’s brightest stars.”
Ricci, a two-time Golden Globe, SAG, and Emmy nominee, is widely regarded as one of Hollywood’s most respected actors. She began acting at age 9 and has built a diverse career spanning decades, from her breakout role in “The Addams Family” to her more recent work in the hit series “Yellowjackets.”
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Ricci reflected on whether receiving a Hollywood star was ever part of her childhood dreams. “This was so outside the realm of even things that I would wish for because it didn’t seem possible,” Ricci admitted.
“I was discovered, and I started working as a child. And I loved working, and I just wanted to keep working. And I don’t know that I ever set any sort of goals or ambitions for myself, and I certainly never thought this would happen,” added Ricci.
When asked what it meant to have her legacy permanently honored on the Walk of Fame, Ricci shared, “It means a lot. For me, it’s meaningful because it makes me feel accepted in a way that I haven’t always felt in my career and it’s a nice feeling. It’s a new feeling.”
As the ceremony unfolded, Ricci’s daughter, Cleopatra, became a scene-stealer in her own right. At one point, the young girl danced on her mother’s star, prompting Ricci to comment, “She’s very self-possessed.”
In a touching moment caught on video, Cleopatra could also be heard cheering for her mom, saying, “I love it, Mama.”

Reflecting on her career during an interview with Variety, Ricci spoke about the personal growth she experienced alongside her work. “I’ve been doing this my whole life. I’ve gone through all of these personal changes and personal growth while I have been continuing with my career,” she said.
Ricci acknowledged that there were moments early in her career when she felt disconnected from acting. “There were certainly times, especially when I was younger, that I just was so disenfranchised with everything and also with being an actress. I will say that I do watch some films from that time in my life and I’m not really very good because I was not trying very hard,” she admitted.
“And as I got older, I really started to understand the value in acting for me, that I could put so much into it that would actually help me as a human being,” she concluded.
During a February 6, 2025, appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” Ricci gave a candid look into life at home with her two children — highlighting just how different they are.
Describing her little daughter Cleopatra, Ricci said, “She is a three-year-old, wild beast. Feral creature.” She added, “My son was always just like, sweet and calm and well-behaved, and my daughter is a feral creature.”
Ricci shared that Cleo enjoys screaming at her, particularly when it comes to negotiating treats. When asked to eat her vegetables before getting ice cream, Cleo often yells back, “No, never!”
Ricci also revealed that Cleo mixes up what to call her, sometimes using “Mommy” and sometimes using her first name. “She also calls me Mom. It’s a mix of Mommy and Christina but she’ll be like, ‘Ice and water, Christina. Please.’ And I’ll be like ‘Okay.’ And I get her ice and water, and she’s like, ‘Thank you, Christina.’ I’m just like, ‘You’re welcome, Cleo.'”
In another story, Ricci explained that her daughter dislikes unsolicited hugs and kisses. “I have a lot of respect for her now. I mean, I always did. They’re children. But I’ve developed quite a lot of respect for her because you can’t just kiss her. You have to ask her like, ‘Hey, Cleo. Is it okay if I kiss you?’ And she’ll go, ‘No.’ And then she might think about it for a second, and she’ll be like (touching her forehead), and I’m like, ‘Oh, forehead kiss. Awesome thank you.'”
Ricci also recalled a late-night incident where Cleopatra called her by name. Using the baby monitor, Ricci heard her daughter saying, “Mama, Mama, Daddy,” followed by calling for her nanny, “Becca.” After a brief silence, Cleo suddenly shouted, “Christina!” Ricci admitted that while she found the situation hilarious, it also left her rushing to check what was wrong.
“She’s too funny. And she’s wild. She likes to pretend she’s a monster and scream at us. My 10-year-old son will try to play with her and he always ends up with a black eye because she hits him in the face with a wooden block,” Ricci explained.
When Fallon asked if Ricci’s children knew about her role as Wednesday Addams, she clarified, “Cleo does not. Freddie knows.” Ricci also shared that she had once shown Freddie “Casper” when he was about 2.5 years old — a choice she admitted might have been too soon.
Later, during a drive to preschool, Freddie told his teachers about his mom’s unusual childhood. When Ricci asked him what he said, he replied, “No, no, no. That you lived in that house with your dad and all those ghosts.”
Ricci has spoken openly in past interviews about how motherhood changed her life. In 2020, she told People, “Having a child changed everything. It’s made everything in my life actually important and matter. I now have to take things seriously, and I never did before.” She added, “I want to succeed for him. My choices matter more.”
In a 2022 interview with The Guardian, Ricci shared her hope that her son Freddie would grow up to be a progressive young man. “My husband, Mark, is, I hate to say it because it sounds really obnoxious, a feminist. And Freddie is going to see that, and see his working mother. I think he’ll see women in a much more layered, complicated way, just by having grown up watching his mom do all this stuff.”
Ricci also described how Freddie’s curiosity sometimes makes her reevaluate her own thinking. “He’s asking questions like, ‘Mom, is that racist?’ Or, ‘Mom, is that OK for women?’ He’s got this whole thing about not calling objects – like boats – she. He’ll correct me: ‘Women are not objects.'”
With her star now officially part of the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Christina Ricci’s lasting impact on film is forever preserved — a milestone made even more special with her family standing proudly beside her.
