Nicole Kidman & Keith Urban’s Daughter, Sunday Rose, 16, Sparks Discussion at the Miu Miu Womenswear Fashion Show

Sunday Rose Kidman Urban, 16, the daughter of Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, returned to the runway for Miu Miu’s Fall/Winter 2025 show at Paris Fashion Week, where her appearance sparked online discussion.

She wore a multicolored plaid jacket over a dark brown leather top with a circular cutout and a statement gold floral design, paired with a mustard-yellow leather skirt. Her voluminous updo and sharp eyeliner enhanced the high-fashion aesthetic.

With a serious expression and confident walk, she brought the brand’s bold vision to life. However, reactions online were mixed. One netizen commented, “Too angry looking!😡😡.” Others described her as sullen and morose, while someone else said she looked both angry and hungry.

Another dismissed Sunday as “talentless,” while some doubted whether she had the qualities of a model. A different commenter said she looked unattractive, while one person pointed out, “She sure doesn’t look like her mother.”

Others were more supportive, offering applause and encouragement for her runway appearance. One admirer defended her, “Good for her! Its her dream! Not her fault that is what they put her in or did her hair that way ! Be kind! She is a kid [sic] !”

Despite mixed reactions, Sunday’s fashion show appearance marked a step in her growing presence in the industry.

After her second Miu Miu runway walk, Sunday shared her thoughts in a TikTok video for Vogue Magazine, recalling how she had practiced her walk long before stepping onto the stage.

“I’m still in high school, so whenever I’m walking down the hallway, I feel like I’m strutting down to math class,” she said backstage. “Everyone would tell me, ‘I see you’re doing your runway walk.'”

She reflected on her progress, and shared, “I am just like hoping to bring a lot of personality.” She also recalled being advised by fashion designer Miuccia Prada to take “larger steps when you walk, because it’s more elegant.” In addition, she was encouraged to walk at a faster pace.

The adjustment made a difference — she felt more confident and expressive compared to her debut. After the event, she took to Instagram to post a simple yet appreciative message, “always a pleasure paris [sic] and @miumiu ♥️.”

Sunday made her modeling debut with the same fashion label at Paris Fashion Week on October 1, 2024. She shared a glimpse of her time in the city, “We did some shopping, because how could you not come to Paris and not shop?[sic]”

The opportunity was a long-awaited dream for her. “I’ve been wanting to do this for so long and so when the offer came through, it was really exciting. And now the day is finally here!” she said.

She also offered advice to newcomers, encouraging them not to overthink the experience, adding, “Because I was really stressed, and then, it’s just like, everyone here is really nice.”

While Sunday continues to make waves in the fashion world, her father, Keith, has also weighed in on her journey. Meanwhile, some netizens think she resembles him more than her mother.

As reported on January 7, Keith spoke about his daughter’s recent milestones, emphasizing that he and Nicole fully support her ambitions while also keeping her grounded.

“Hopefully we can just help her keep balance with everything through all of that,” he said. Sunday’s artistic pursuits began years earlier when she was cast in a school play in 2017.

Nicole recounted how both parents helped her prepare for the role, with Sunday insisting that Keith assist her in rehearsing lines. Nicole has also credited Sunday with influencing her professional decisions, such as encouraging a third season of “Big Little Lies” and even offering character insights.

Like Nicole, Keith has openly expressed his pride in Sunday’s achievements. After Sunday made her runway debut in Paris, her dad shared his reaction, saying, “I thought she did great. She did fantastic.”

Nicole also celebrated the milestone by posting a photo of Sunday’s debut on Instagram Story, adorned with heart emojis, showcasing her excitement as a proud mother.

The couple, while protective of their daughters’ privacy, has supported Sunday’s emerging interests. They have shared that they aim to provide their children with a sense of morality, dignity, and responsibility.

As Nicole explained, “Everything is motivated by wanting to take care of your children and carve a path for them.” Sunday’s debut at Paris Fashion Week isn’t the first time she has shown her individuality.

In April 2024, Sunday and her younger sister, Faith, stepped out with other members of their extended family to support Nicole at the AFI Life Achievement Award Gala.

Nicole expressed her gratitude for her daughters’ presence, saying, “It gives the girls a strong sense of family.” For the Kidman-Urban family, milestones like these are about celebrating achievements while staying firmly grounded in their close family bonds.

While Sunday’s public milestones have gained her recognition, it was a casual photo that sparked significant online attention. In the image, Sunday posed alongside Nicole, with the original poster remarking, “They look like sisters.”

However, fans in the comments section focused on something else entirely — Sunday’s striking resemblance to Keith. One person commented, “She looks like her dad,” while another said, “She is so like her Dad.”

Others chimed in, saying, “She is like Keith,” and “Lol, she’s the spitting image of her dad!” The overwhelming sentiment echoed a shared observation of how much Sunday favors her father, despite standing alongside her famously elegant mother.
