Meghan Markle Shares a Sweet Tribute to Her Two Kids, Archie and Lilibet, on Mother’s Day – Photo

From a surprise podcast revelation to a lively concert appearance with her husband, the Duchess of Sussex has been opening up more than usual — culminating in a touching post that gave fans a rare glimpse of her life as a mother.

On May 11, 2025, Meghan Markle marked Mother’s Day with a heartfelt message and a rare photo of her two children, Archie and Lilibet, in a post that quickly captured public attention.

In the photo, Meghan is seen from behind, standing barefoot on a stone patio framed by columns and wooden beams entwined with dormant vines.

She is holding both children, with one child in each arm, as they wrap themselves tightly around her. The family is surrounded by a lush green backdrop with palm trees visible in the distance under a clear blue sky.

The caption read, “Happy Mother’s Day! Cheers to juggling it all with joy! And to these two gems – who still attempt to climb ‘mama mountain,’ smother me with kisses, and make every day the most memorable adventure….being your mom is the greatest privilege of my life.”

The doting mom of two concluded her Instagram tribute with, “I, too, ‘love you more than all the stars in all the sky, all the raindrops, and all the salt on all the french fries in all the world.'”

The post generated a wide range of reactions on social media, with much of the conversation focusing on the children’s appearance — particularly their hair color.

One person questioned, “Archie has black straight hair here and Lily has mousy hair but she looks the size of a six yr old not a three yr old? What is going on [sic]??”

Another wrote, “Archie’s’ hair color & texture changed again; from curly to straight, from ginger to black [sic].” A third individual remarked, “Now Archie has brown hair? I thought it was auburn?”

One netizen pointed out, “The kids have different colour hair again. Lily’s has gone from bright ginger to light brown, and Archie’s has gone from auburn to dark brown.”

Another added, “And he has dark brown hair.” Several others echoed similar sentiments. One person asked, “Where’s the ginger?”

A netizen noted, “Notice little Archie’s hair looks black. Never known Red hair to turn black.” Lastly, one person wondered, “Archie has dark hair in this one. What happened to the red?”

Just a day before her Mother’s Day tribute, Meghan shared another post on Instagram, highlighting a different kind of joy. On May 10, 2025, she posted, “About last night…. Thank you @beyonce and team for an amazing concert (and a very fun date night)! All love.”

The post featured several moments from the night, including videos and photos of Meghan and Prince Harry at Beyoncé’s concert. The couple appeared relaxed and cheerful, dancing and enjoying the music alongside friends.

Visuals also showed Meghan and Harry sharing affectionate moments during the outing, adding to what appeared to be a celebratory and lighthearted evening.

While Meghan appeared joyful and vibrant during the concert, she also recently opened up about the deeper, more emotional aspects of her life as a mother.

In her first-ever podcast appearance on “The Jamie Kern Lima Show,” released April 28, 2025, she offered listeners an intimate view into her parenting philosophy and personal hopes for her children.

When asked what she hopes her daughter Lilibet would one day say about her, Meghan responded, “I hope she says… ‘Oh, my gosh. No one has ever loved someone more than the way our mom loved us.’ And I put that in practice.”

She spoke about the efforts she makes daily to be there for her children with love and intention. “That’s part of every day how I show up for them. I read a lot of parenting books. I really want to be good at it. I think a lot of stuff comes naturally and a lot of stuff… we can all use tools,” she said

Meghan also shared a personal parenting habit she’s adopted, inspired by a friend. “One of our mom friends, she had said to me last year that she just created sort of secret email addresses for her kids that she’ll give to them at some point in their life… I thought it was such a great time capsule to create for them [sic],” she explained.

She went on to describe her nightly ritual. “Before I go to bed, almost every night, I email them… the things you’re not going to frame, the things you’re not going to put pen to paper in a journal. But they will end up, at one point in their life, maybe when they’re 16 or when they’re 18, that I say, ‘Here’s an email that I’ve been keeping for you,'” added Meghan.

Visibly emotional during the interview, she continued, “Here’s everything and every moment that I wanted to tell you how much I love you and like how proud I am of you… I’m nurturing you and I see you deeply and I love being able to see your growth and I’m just so proud…”

Through her Mother’s Day tribute, podcast reflections, and recent public appearances, Meghan Markle has consistently highlighted her dedication to motherhood. Whether capturing everyday memories or expressing long-term hopes for her children, her focus remains on being a present and loving parent.

Last month, the 43-year-old “Suits” alum shared never-before-seen images of her kids soaking up the sun in a garden scene had fans swooning. However, other people were fixated on an unexpected detail in the frame, scrutinizing it.

On Sunday, April 27, Meghan offered a rare peek into her family life by posting a few candid photos of her children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. The images drew attention not only for their warmth but also for highlighting the kids’ striking red hair, clearly a trait passed down from their dad.

“Sunday kind of love…with my little loves,” she wrote in the caption. The three-photo collection included a shot of Archie holding a flower up to his face.
