Fine’s departure from the courtroom on May 13 followed Judge Arun Subramanian’s instruction limiting his presence to the portion of the testimony unrelated to events from 2018, a period in which Combs’ defense indicated they may call him to testify.

As prosecutors turned to those events, Fine stood up from his aisle seat and quietly exited.

Ventura remained on the stand during that portion of her third day of testimony. At the time, she is pregnant with their third child — a fact she publicly announced in February 2025.

During her second day of testimony, Ventura grew visibly upset while describing the toll the relationship had taken on her mental health. She recounted seeking trauma therapy in early 2023 after experiencing flashbacks during a music video shoot, and shared that she had felt suicidal during that period.

Ventura also testified that she became heavily dependent on opiates during the course of the relationship and said she sought professional help multiple times to recover.

She told the court she last used narcotics in 2022 and is now sober. Additionally, she said she had entered rehab to begin addressing the long-term trauma.

She described a broader pattern of fear, control, and isolation, saying she felt unsafe even after the relationship ended. Ventura noted that members of Combs’ inner circle — including security staff and personal assistants — witnessed the abuse, and that some of them eventually resigned because of what they saw.

She also shared that her connection with a close friend of 17 years ended following an altercation involving Combs. Ventura’s testimony included the claim that she received a $20 million settlement after filing a civil lawsuit against Combs in November 2023.

Her court appearance followed a year of renewed public focus on her past, sparked in May 2024 when a 2016 surveillance video surfaced showing Combs assaulting her in a hotel hallway.

In response, Fine broke his silence with a powerful Instagram post titled “Letter to Women and Children,” where he condemned abuse, urged men to hold each other accountable, and expressed unwavering support for survivors.

Fine wrote, “Men who hit women aren’t men,” and criticized those who enable abuse, encouraging others to confront harmful behavior in their own circles. He expressed sorrow over the broader culture of inequality, “I’m sorry you live in a world where you’re not protected, and you don’t feel equal.”

His message directly addressed survivors, affirming their experiences, “Your stories are real, and people believe you.” He reassured them that they are not alone, adding, “There are men and women who care only for your well-being and safety. We want you to succeed and flourish.”

Fine also reflected on fatherhood and his hopes for change, “I want to raise my daughters in a world where they are safe and loved.”

He concluded the message with a sharp warning to abusers, “You’re done, you’re not safe anymore, you’re not protected anymore, the men by your side are just as weak, you’re so miserable with yourself that a d—h would be considered a kindness.”

While Fine’s statement offered a rare public glimpse into his values, much of his and Ventura’s life together has unfolded in private. Ventura and Fine first met at a gym, as she recalled in a 2019 Vogue interview, and their connection formed quickly. From the beginning, they spoke openly about marriage.

Not long after they started dating, they learned they were expecting their first child. With their lives rapidly evolving, the couple decided to marry before the baby arrived.

Fine proposed in a surprise, heartfelt moment involving horses, flowers, and a beachside dinner. He coordinated with the Compton Cowboys and planned the evening around Ventura’s birthday.

As she arrived near sunset, she was greeted by music, riders on horseback, and Fine waiting for her, eventually kneeling to say, “I want to spend the rest of my life with you.” She later described the moment as so overwhelming that she felt like time had stopped.

Just weeks later, the couple held a private wedding in Malibu with only 14 guests, all close family. Ventura, seven months pregnant at the time, worked with her stylists and designers to create a custom gown that felt both romantic and comfortable.

She walked down the aisle carrying a bouquet adorned with her grandmothers’ rings and exchanged handwritten vows with Fine as the sun set behind them.

They kept the reception intimate and atmospheric, with hundreds of candles melting into a single centerpiece and lights strung between the trees. They shared their first dance to “Tennessee Whiskey” and ended the night with a heart-shaped pizza.

Nearly six years after their wedding, Ventura is now preparing to welcome her third child with Fine. The couple already share two daughters, Frankie and Sunny.

As they expand their family, Ventura continues to navigate daily life amid ongoing court proceedings and renewed public attention.
