‘General Hospital’ Star Steve Burton, 54, Marries Chef Michelle Lundstrom in Laguna Beach

The “General Hospital” star is bursting with love for his new wife as the two set off on their honeymoon, ready to begin their next chapter together as husband and wife.

Steve Burton tied the knot with chef and content creator Michelle Lundstrom, 44, on Saturday, May 17, in a private Orthodox church ceremony. The wedding comes two years after the actor publicly announced his separation from his ex-wife.

Burton and Lundstrom’s church ceremony was attended by only immediate family. It was followed by their private ceremony with an ultra-exclusive oceanfront reception at Montage Laguna Beach, California. Just 45 guests were invited to the gathering, including a few of Burton’s longtime friends from “General Hospital.”

The “Barbecue Showdown 2” star wore a custom strapless couture gown by Lee Petra Grebenau. Her daughters from a previous relationship, Lilah, 14, and Hannah, 10, joined her on her dress search. “It was exactly what I had wanted, romantic with a vintage vibe,” she said. Her hair and makeup were done by her longtime friends Anzhela and Luiza Adzhiyan, both of whom work on “General Hospital.”

The nuptials took place just four months after the couple got engaged and marked a dream come true for Burton. “This day isn’t just about a ceremony. It’s the beginning of forever with the love of my life,” Burton said.

Fans have come out in numbers to congratulate the happy couple, sharing heartfelt messages online. One fan expressed their support for Burton, “I’m happy for him. After his wife step out and got pregnant with someone else baby.” Someone else kept it simple and sweet, sharing, “Congratulations! Michelle, you look stunning πŸ’œ.”

Another person cheered Burton on while throwing shade at his past, “Deserves the best not like his ex who got pregnant while being married to him from another.” A joyful commenter gushed, “Congratulations!!! β€οΈπŸ‘ you are a gorgeous bride! :)”

One fan offered a short but pointed compliment, “Defo [sic] an upgrade πŸ₯‚.” Someone who clearly followed Burton’s journey closely added, “Wow! Congratulations πŸŽ‰πŸ‘πŸ’•You deserve it after [what] you have been through with your children’s Mother. I’m so happy that you found love again! πŸ’™β™₯️”

And finally, another fan beamed with joy for the bride, “Congratulations @themoneymichelle you look absolutely gorgeous and are glowing with happiness and joy!! So happy for you pretty lady!!!! πŸ₯‚πŸΎπŸŽŠβ€οΈ”

The couple described their wedding as a “dream-like celebration filled with so much love,” and made even more special by the presence of those who had always supported them. For them, the day carried a depth of emotion that went beyond words.

Burton shared that the idea of spending the rest of his life with his best friend, growing together in faith and love, was at the heart of the moment, while Lundstrom emphasized how much marriage means to them. For Lundstrom, tying the knot with Burton was especially emotional, as she had never felt as safe and loved as she did in that moment.

“Gosh, he’s proven that fairy tale love truly exists. He’s like pure sunshine β€” always uplifting, endlessly caring. His love makes me a better person every single day,” gushed the chef, who starred in Netflix’s “The American Barbecue Showdown.”

Lundstrom expressed that having someone as special as Burton by her side brought her a deep sense of peace and joy, making the moment even more profound. “He is the love of my life, and I feel so blessed to call him mine,” she added.

The 54-year-old now looks forward to beginning this new chapter with Lundstrom, saying, “Honestly, I’ve never felt so loved and cared for in my entire life.” The actor shared deep gratitude for having Lundstrom in his life, describing her as an extraordinary, beautiful, and selfless woman he holds immense love for.

Their ceremony was a reflection of the deep connection they share. Set on a scenic coastal bluff with sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean, the couple’s seaside reception carried a romantic tone. This was brought to life by blush, ivory, and sea glass green accents, soft candlelight, and lush florals arranged by Honey Bear Events.

Their shared love for ’80s music and movies, which sparked their connection after meeting on social media, influenced the musical choices throughout the celebration. A pianist played romantic ’80s tunes during cocktail hour, while On the Go DJ Pro continued the nostalgic vibe into the reception.

For their first dance, they chose a modern yet heartfelt songβ€””I Choose You” by Forest Blakk. The couple and their guests later sat down for a dreamy candlelit dinner. The culinary team at Montage impressed with their masterfully prepared dishes, with the savory beef tenderloin being a standout for Burton.

When it came to dessert, Burton initially wanted something simple that reminded him of a classic grocery store sheet cake. He eventually agreed on a more refined version: a vanilla sponge cake layered with vanilla cream and fresh berries.

The celebration continued the next day with a relaxed Sunday brunch, giving loved ones one more chance to come together before parting ways.

Both sides of the family were involved in the festivities. Lundstrom’s daughters, Lilah and Hannah, joined Burton’s children with his ex-wife, Sheree Burtonβ€”Makena, 21, Jack, 19, and Brooklyn, 10β€”as part of the wedding party.
