The six people killed in last week’s San Diego plane crash have now been identified, shedding light on the victims of the tragic early-morning disaster.
A small plane crashed early on May 22 in San Diego’s Tierrasanta neighborhood, killing all six people on board and injuring several others on the ground. According to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office, the crash happened in the 10200 block of Sample Street, a residential area located on U.S. Navy-owned land.
Among those killed was Daniel Williams, a former drummer for the metalcore band The Devil Wears Prada. His father, Larry Williams, confirmed his death to TMZ.
Two victims were found outside homes near the wreckage. Celina Marie Rose Kenyon, 36, was discovered in a driveway. Emma L. Huke, 25, was located in a nearby yard. Both died from multiple blunt force injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene. Their deaths were ruled accidental.
The remaining victims were identified as Kendall An Fortner, 24; Dominic Christopher Damian, 41; and David Shapiro, 42. Fortner and Shapiro were recovered from the aircraft wreckage, while Damian was found on the street near the crash site. Additional details about their injuries have not yet been released.
