Mariska Hargitay’s Kids Make a Rare Public Appearance at ‘My Mom Jayne’ Premiere

Mariska Hargitay’s husband and three children showed their support as the actress debuted her deeply personal documentary, “My Mom Jayne: A Film by Mariska Hargitay” at the Tribeca Festival in New York City—a rare red carpet outing for the family.

Mariska Hargitay attended the June 13, 2025 premiere of her documentary “My Mom Jayne: A Film by Mariska Hargitay” at the Tribeca Festival with husband Peter Hermann and their children August, 18, Amaya, 14, and Andrew, 13.

The family turned heads in classic formalwear, with Hargitay channeling Old Hollywood glam in a floor-length gown and her family coordinating in tuxedos and evening attire.

The documentary, “My Mom Jayne: A Film by Mariska Hargitay” is a tribute to Hargitay’s late mother, Jayne Mansfield, the 1950s screen siren who died in a 1967 car accident. Hargitay, then three years old, survived the crash alongside her two brothers.

The film explores Mansfield’s life beyond her bombshell persona, offering a deeper look into her fame, vulnerability, and legacy. For Hargitay, it’s both a tribute and a personal journey into understanding her mother’s impact and untold story.

While Hargitay and Hermann generally keep their children out of the public eye, their appearance at the premiere underscored the film’s emotional importance and family-centered message. They previously stepped out as a family at the Cannes Film Festival for the same reason.
