Pierce Brosnan’s granddaughter carries on Charlotte Brosnan’s timeless beauty and graceful presence.
Pierce Brosnan recently stepped out with his granddaughter, Isabella Smith, for a rare public appearance, and the resemblance between her and her late mother, Charlotte Brosnan, is striking.
The duo attended the “MobLand” premiere afterparty, where they were spotted in stunning ensembles. Pierce exuded classic sophistication in a black two-piece suit, complemented by a sleek black scarf.
He also wore a high-neck sweater that added a refined yet casual touch and polarized sunglasses that amplified his signature movie-star presence.
Beside him, Isabella captivated onlookers in a black-and-white checkered two-piece ensemble. The 26-year-old completed her chic look with a black blazer, adding a modern edge that perfectly balanced her grandfather’s timeless elegance.
Isabella bears a striking resemblance to her late mother, Charlotte. Much like her mother, Isabella has blonde hair that cascades in soft waves, framing her delicate features. Her well-defined cheeks, expressive eyes, and warm smile mirror Charlotte’s, making their likeness unmistakable.
Additionally, Isabella’s striking resemblance to her late mother is a poignant reminder of the beloved daughter Pierce lost far too soon. Charlotte passed away from ovarian cancer in 2013 at the age of 41, the same illness that claimed her mother, Cassandra Harris, in 1991.
The loss was devastating for Pierce, who had adopted Charlotte and her brother Christopher after their father’s passing.
At the time of her death, Pierce spoke of Charlotte’s unwavering strength, saying she fought the disease with “grace and humanity, courage and dignity.” She was surrounded by loved ones in her final moments, including her husband Alex, her children Isabella and Lucas, and her brothers Christopher and Sean.
Pierce has since been open about his grief, calling cancer a “wretched disease”, and has used his platform to advocate for greater awareness and research in hopes of finding a cure.
Now, as Isabella steps into the public eye, she carries not only her mother’s legacy but also a powerful reminder of the love and resilience that have defined her family’s journey.
The event Pierce Brosnan and Isabella attended marked a special moment for the rarely-seen granddaughter of the “James Bond” star, highlighting the strong family connection she shares with her late mother.
“MobLand,” a crime and drama series directed by Guy Ritchie, features an all-star cast, including Pierce, Helen Mirren, and Tom Hardy.
At the premiere, Pierce was rocking his signature gray hair. In 2024, the actor had been dubbed a grandpa after posting a photo with gray hair and a beard online. His appearance sparked a flurry of reactions from people who couldn’t help but focus on his physical features.
The silver screen heartthrob showed his followers how he spent Sunday with new pictures shared on Instagram on July 7, 2024. The “GoldenEye” star posted a carousel of two images of him checking out the widely-debated King Charles III portrait with the artist, Johnathan Yeo. However, it was not the King’s compelling portrait that caught the eyes of observers.
Pierce, who appeared with a fully gray head of hair and a neatly styled beard, opted for a simple ensemble. He donned a white shirt and black pants, which he fastened with a belt. Elevating his casual look, Pierce accessorized with chic glasses.
The cover image shows the A-lister standing side-by-side with Johnathan as Pierce smiles at the camera, placing his left arm on Johnathan’s shoulder. Johnathan, on the other hand, who sported a taupe and beige ensemble and black-rimmed glasses, placed one hand in his pocket and left the other on Pierce’s back.
Giving a closer and more intimate view of himself and King Charles III’s painting, Pierce’s second picture displayed his side profile as he gazed at something outside the camera’s frame with the King’s portrait right beside him.
“A day to remember in the studio of portrait artist Johnathan Yeo and his beautifully compassionate, distinguished and compelling portrait of His Majesty, King Charles III. Thank you Johnny. A masterpiece in every way, which has only just begun its journey in the history art and time,” Pierce penned in his caption.
While the King of England’s portrait was certainly a sight to behold, many were more interested in discussing Pierce’s appearance, paying particular attention to his hair and beard. “Oh Pierce…a beard 😧 sorry. Love to see your face 🙂,” commented an Instagrammer.
Another asserted, “Pierce is now Santa 🎅🏻.” Someone else who was taken aback by Pierce’s looks wrote, “Why do you look not beautiful what happened.” Others felt the actor looked great and complimented him.
“Beautiful art [and] you’re looking good @piercebrosnanofficial,” swooned a fan. An admirer praised, “My favorite Bond,” while another noted, “[James Bond] is now a grandfather.”
As the aforementioned comment mentions, Pierce is in fact a grandpa, not because of the color of his hair but because some of his kids have children of their own. In 2022, Pierce shared an endearing post on Instagram revealing that another one of his grandchildren had been born.
He posted two heartwarming images of his then-new grandson, Jaxxon Elijah Brosnan—the child of Pierce’s son, Sean Brosnan.
Gushing over Jaxxon’s birth in his caption, Pierce expressed, “Jaxxon Elijah Brosnan, born 3:06pm 11/12/22… all good blessings to you my dearest grandson, welcome. Congratulations my darling Sean, Sanja and Marley. Peace be with you.”
Drawing back to the other comments Pierce received on his recent pics, while some may be surprised to see the doting granddad rock silver hair, this is not the first time he has done so. Years ago, in 2015, Pierce was spotted out in Malibu with gray hair.
The actor who played the alluring spy James Bond from 1995 to 2002 was seen with his mom, Mary Smith, as they took an afternoon stroll. While Pierce, who donned a blue dress shirt and black jeans, sported a different hair length, his locks were still gray.
Seven years after his Malibu outing with his mom, Pierce was seen with his gray hair again. The silver fox was photographed in January 2022 with his short gray locks as he carried several bouquets of yellow, white, and orange roses he had purchased during a grocery run.
While Pierce’s gray hair may be a drastic change from his luscious brown locks, his transformation to silver has been in the works for a while now.
In fact, when he made the change to gray, that too, became his signature look, and while he has maintained this color, he has still switched up the style from time to time. One such instance saw him with thinner hair and his beard shaved off for a movie role.
The “Die Another Day” star shared a picture of himself transformed into the famous boxing trainer, Brendan Ingle on Instagram, and fans could barely recognize him.
Pierce was in the process of shooting the biopic “Giant,” which follows the inspiring rags-to-riches story of boxer Prince Naseem Hamed, played by Amir El-Masry, while Pierce took on the role of his famous trainer.
The comment section was filled with people who were shocked at the transformation and some who were excited to see the biopic. “Almost did not recognize you without all your pretty hair,” remarked an Instagrammer. On the other hand, some did not realize that Pierce was in character. “He’s gone old old,” added a commenter.
However, not all comments were negative as some fans were intrigued to see Pierce’s portrayal of the famous boxing trainer. “It’s an interesting movie you are playing in, and I am curious to watch soon,” wrote an internet user.
Another echoed the same excitement, saying, “You rock in everything you do, Pierce,” while one other person praised Pierce’s talents, commending, “class.”
The “Mamma Mia!” actor had also been spotted on the movie set in Leeds, England. There, Pierce was in full character mode, rocking a blue tracksuit with a matching Adidas sweater. He tapped into the trainer’s personal style by adding a black hat to the outfit and clear-framed sunglasses.
While on set, the actor was seen meeting up with Brendan’s sons Dominic and John Ingle, as well as his grandson Luca, who were all brought along to watch how the film was being made.
Reportedly, the Ingle family also got to read the script and give a few insights into the kind of person Brendan was. The trainer died in 2018 at 77 but left behind a record-breaking career, both as a boxer and a trainer.
As a boxer, Brendan was in 34 competitions with a record of 19-14, then went on to make a name for himself as a trainer and manager. He became known for his footwork drills in the Sheffield gym.
The sports champion then mentored Naseem from when he was seven, and together they broke champion records. Brendan was then awarded an MBE for his dedication to working with young people and his contribution to British boxing.
Additionally, the trainer was given an honorary doctorate from Sheffield Hallam University, where he had also lectured. The highly anticipated film will be produced by Sylvester Stallone and directed by Rowan Athale.
While the role needed Pierce to maintain his clean-shaven look for a while, his wife, Keely Shaye Smith, might have been enjoying the no-beard look. In a 2018 interview with GQ, the actor had grown out his facial hair to be even longer for his role in “The Son.”
However, since his beard for the TV show was long enough to be put into a mini braid, the actor could not wait to shave it off. He was asked how his wife felt about his Texas cowboy look and he responded, “She puts up with it and she tolerates it, but she wants her Irish boy Pierce back again, not some old goat.”
Nonetheless, by now, Keely might be used to the many versions of her husband that she gets to see with each interesting role he takes on because, as it stands, the 71-year-old shows no signs of stopping.
